Q: What does the PA-2 do?

A: While all R/C trainer planes include features designed to support stability, the PA-2 actively searches for signs of instability and takes immediate action to correct them.
Q: How does it work?

A: Sophisticated sensors are a part of the model’s on-board electronics. They’re always alert, always ready to make any adjustments necessary to regain level flight. You still have priority control of the NexSTAR EP whenever you move the transmitter sticks. But when you don’t know what to do, release the sticks — and let the PA-2 come to the rescue!
Q: How does the PA-2 help me learn to be an R/C pilot?

A: Initially, it gives you confidence — when you get into trouble, the PA-2 helps you get out. Its sensitivity can also be adjusted to help you learn one of flying’s most important skills: avoiding over-control. It takes a little while to develop a patient touch on the sticks. During your first flights, it’s natural that your movements may be a bit overeager, and you may need to set the PA-2 at maximum sensitivity. As you gain confidence, however, you can lower its sensitivity and increase the time you’re in sole control. Like any good teacher, the PA-2 will give you all the help you need to “get it right” on your own.
